Snook Named Most Improved Senior in ITA Atlantic Region

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Navy senior women's tennis player Erin Snook has been named the ITA Atlantic Region's Most Improved Senior of the Year, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced today.
Snook was named to the All-Patriot League First Team in 2014 after posting a 19-9 overall singles record and a 16-16 doubles record. Snook was Navy's primary starter at No. 1 singles with a 15-5 mark and she was a perfect 6-0 in singles matches during the Patriot League Regular Season.
Snook moved into the No. 1 starter position this year after playing at No. 2 singles in 2013, No. 4 singles in 2012 and No. 5 singles in 2011.
Snook will graduate from Navy as the program's all-time leader in career singles wins (90), singles dual wins (67), doubles wins (61) and combined singles and doubles wins (151). Snook has an all-time singles record of 90-37.
The Tampa, Florida native helped Navy to a 21-8 overall record in 2014 and the Mids reached the 20-win plateau for the fourth straight season during Snook's career.
This is Navy's third ITA Regional Award in the last four seasons. Head coach Keith Puryear was named the Atlantic Region Coach of the Year in 2011 and former player Stefanie Ton was named the Atlantic Region's Arthur Ashe Award Recipient in 2013.
