2011 Cross Country Season:
• Earned All-Patriot League Second Team honors by placing ninth at the Patriot League Championship
• Navy's top finisher at the Salty Dog Invitational and ECAC Championship
• Navy's second finisher at four events, including the Patriot League Championship, NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship and the Army-Navy dual
2010-11 (Sophomore Season):
• Earned All-Patriot League Second Team honors in the 10,000m run at the outdoor league meet with a second-place finish of 36:50.06, in the only 10K race she ran all season
• The time of 36:50.05 qualified her for the ECAC Outdoor Championship. It was also the ninth fastest 10K time ran in Navy history and only five Mids have posted a better time
• Ran an outdoor season best time of 17:25.67 to place 35th at the Larry Ellis Invitational. The time ranks Byrne ninth on the all-time performance list.
• Placed sixth at the Patriot League Outdoor Championship in the 5,000m run with a time of 17:50.56
• Placed seventh at the Outdoor Colonial Relays with a 3K time of 10:15.40
• Qualified for the ECAC Indoor Championship in the 5K, where she ran an indoor season best time of 17:27.74 to place 12th in the event
• The time of 17:27.74 ranks Byrne eighth on the Navy all-time indoor performance list in the 5,000m
• Placed third in the 5K at the Patriot League Indoor Championship with a time of 17:31.85
• Placed third in the 3,000m at the Indoor Army-Navy Star Meet with a time of 10:09.23
• Placed seventh in the 3,000m at the Patriot League Indoor Championship with a time of 10:10.11
• Named to the Patriot League All-Academic Team for both the indoor and outdoor seasons
• During the cross country season, was one of Navy's top-five finishers in all eight races of the season
• Navy's No. 2 finisher at the Patriot League Championship and the NCAA Regional. Placed 23rd overall at the PL meet and 60th at the NCAA Regional meet.
2009-10 (Freshman Season):
• Competed in the both the 1,000m and the mile run at the Delaware Indoor Invite
• Had a standout freshman cross country season
• Had two-top five finishes on the season as she garnered Patriot League Rookie of the Year honors
• Led all Navy runners, and placed ninth overall, at the Patriot League Championship (10/30) to earn second-team all-league honors
• Was Navy's top finisher at the NCAA Regional meet (11/14) with a time of 22:47
• Was one of the Mids' top-five finishers in all seven meets in which she competed
• Named Patriot League Rookie of the Week twice (Sept. 9 and 15)
High School • Attended James Madison High School, where she earned four letters in cross country, four in track and two in swimming • Captained both the cross country and track teams • Advanced to the state championship in track as a junior and a senior • Earned all-region honors on the track in 2008 and '09 • Claimed all-district accolades in cross country as a senior • Helped the track team to a district title as a sophomore in 2007 • Member of the National Honor Society, Math Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society

• Daughter of Amy and William Byrne
• Mother, Amy (Donovan - maiden name), graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1987 and earned four varsity letters with the women's cross country team
• Along with mother, Amy, believed to be the first mother-daughter letterwinner combo in Naval Academy history
• Father, Bill, graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1987, earned three varsity letters with football and co-captained the 1986 team • Uncle, Tom Donovan, graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1996 • Grandfather, Francis Donovan, graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1959 • Majoring in English (honors)
