PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Senior Teronda Brown led Navy women's track and field with a second-place finish in the discus throw college division at the 120th Penn Relays Saturday.

"Our throwers had another great meet at the Penn Relays," head coach Carla Criste said. "All three senior throwers, Lauren Allam, Maressa Guynn and Brown continue to be consistent and we hope to carry their success into next weekend's league championship."

In the discus championship division, Allam and Guynn placed seventh and 11th, respectively. Allam led the throwers with a mark of 160-2 (48.84m) and Guynn threw a mark of 126-8 (38.61m).

Senior Veronica Ffrench tied for 5th in the high jump eastern division with a mark of 5-6 (1.68). Brown finished ninth in the shot put college division with a performance of 42-3.5 (12.89m).

Navy will host the 2014 Patriot League Outdoor Track and Field Championship from Friday, May 2 to Saturday, May 3 at Ingram Field.
