ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Navy women's indoor track and field team (7-0) will host the Navy Invitational Saturday at the Wesley A. Brown Field House at 3:15 PM. Navy is scheduled to compete against Delaware, Eastern Kentucky, James Madison, Maryland-Eastern Shore, Mount St. Mary's and VCU. The meet will begin at 3:15 PM, following the Navy men's track and field meet.

The women's track and field team has not competed since earning seven dual wins at the double dual scored Navy Lid Lifter on December 6. Navy won the 5,000m, high jump and pole vault and posted three ECAC-qualifying performances.

Navy earned a pair of Patriot League weekly honors after the Lid Lifter. Sophomore Annie-Norah Beveridge was named the track athlete of the week and junior Veronica Ffrench was named the field athlete of the week.

Beveridge won the 5,000m run with a personal best time of 17:05.73 and Ffrench won the high jump with a personal best clear of 5-7 (1.70m). Beveridge and Ffrench both qualified for the ECAC Championship with their performances.

Navy took first place at this meet last January, besting five other schools, including four schools that will be back for this year's meet: VCU, Maryland-Eastern Shore, James Madison and Mount St. Mary's.
