ANNAPOLIS, Md. – With eight-straight Indoor Star Meets victories under its belt, the Navy women’s track & field squad shoot for its ninth-straight against Army in the N-Star meet on Saturday at Wesley A. Brown Field House. The meet is schedule to begin at 2:30 p.m., which is 30 minutes after the men’s competition.
Navy has won eight-straight Indoor N-Stars (2006-13) and extended its indoor series lead to 14-12-1. Navy has swept the indoor/outdoor series in women's track and field in each of the last five seasons and will have the opportunity to continue the sweep streak on Saturday.

Head coach Carla Criste is 13-7-1 against Army in indoor track and 27-14-1 overall. Criste has led the Mids during a streak of 10-straight wins (combined indoor and outdoor) and will look to make it six-straight season sweeps in 2014.
On Jan. 18, Navy women's track & field totaled 111 points for a second-place finish at the Terrapin Invitational. Senior Maressa Guynn (Uniontown, Pa.) recorded the Mids first ECAC-qualifying performance in the weight throw. Following her ECAC-qualifying throw, Guynn was named Patriot League Field Athlete of the Week.
Navy will next host the Multi-Madness meet on Tuesday, February 11 at 4 p.m. in the Wesley A. Brown Field House.
