Women's Track and Field Set for Patriot League Championships

CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION


ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The Navy women's track and field team heads to Bethlehem, Pa. for the 2017 Patriot League Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Friday, May 5 and Saturday, May 6 at Lehigh University's Goodman Campus. The championships will feature all nine men's programs and all 10 women's programs from across the league.

Live results will be available throughout the two-day meet and live video will be available beginning on Saturday morning at 11:50 a.m.

The Midshipmen will look to improve upon their fourth place finish in last year's competition.

The Mids are led by senior captains Stephanie Simon and Lily Brose. Simon has consistently been one of Navy's top throwers this season, owning the top mark in the javelin and three of the top four distances in the discus. Brose Has three of top four times in the 400-meter dash, as well as, been on the relay teams in the 4x100m and 4x400m relays.

Joining Simon and Brose at the Patriot League Championships will be runners Brittany Burg, Alyssa Chang, Aaliyah Gordon, Lauren Heaton, Amanda Henson, Kara Kakascik, Phoebe Kirk, Brenna McDannold, Claire Ostrowski, Allison Parks, Gabrielle Perrin, Christina Quigley, and Ali Valenti, while Jahna Alleyne, Eileen Bradley, Audrey Brandon, Rosemary Brinegar, Zoe Broadway, Claire Chandler, Ashanti Curry, Rachel Duncavage, Madison Falvey, Morgan Giraud, Charlene Kearns, Izzy Marini, Hali McFadgen, Maggie Ruud, Banita Simmons, Julia Speranzo, Kaitlyn Stafford, and Haley Unger will also compete. Chesley Krug will also be in attendance taking part in the heptathlon.

NOTE: Due to inclement weather, all men's and women's high jump and pole vault events will take place inside Rauch Fieldhouse. These are the only two events that can take place indoors and still have the marks be eligible for NCAA qualification.
