ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Navy women’s track and field team will travel to the ECAC Championship Friday at William Weaver Track and Field Stadium in Princeton, New Jersey.

A strong second day propelled the Navy women's track and field team to a fourth-place finish in the Patriot League Outdoor Championship Saturday, May 3 in Annapolis, Maryland. Navy picked up 80 points in 16 scoring events on Saturday to finish fourth with 109.

Navy recorded three event champions in the field events. Senior Teronda Brown (Angleton, Texas) won the shot put with an ECAC-qualifying mark of 45-10.5 (13.98). Senior Maressa Guynn (Uniontown, Pa.) finished first in the discus with a throw of 161-8 (49.28m). Sophomore Crystan McLymore (Raleigh, N.C.) placed first in the triple jump with a performance of 38-10.5 (11.85m).

Along with the three senior throwers, Veronica Ffrench will compete this weekend in the high jump and Christina Blair in the 3000m steeplechase.
