Brose Named to Patriot League All-Academic Team
CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -- Navy women's track and field senior captain Lily Brose was selected to the Corvias Patriot League Women's Outdoor Track and Field Academic All-Patriot League Team as announced by the conference office. She was one of 10 student-athletes selected throughout the league.
Brose is the sixth member of the Navy women's outdoor track and field team to earn the accolade, joining Annie-Norah Beveridge (2013), Brigid Byrne (2011, 2012, 2013), Shannon Cuthbert (2015), Emily Jensen (2014), and Morgan O'Connor (2016).
Brose, who has a 3.74 GPA in quantitative economics, is a six-time member of the Superintendent's List and a seven-time member of the Commandant's List.
The senior captain is a two-time Second Team All-Patriot League sprinter, finishing second in the 4x400m relay in both indoor and outdoor competition as the first leg of the relay team. As an individual, Brose boasts four of the five fastest times this season in the 400m dash for the Midshipmen.
Navy returns to action on Thursday, May 25 as the Midshipmen travel to Lexington, Ky. to take part in the NCAA East Regional.
