Navy Women's Track Team In 14th Place At The ECAC Championship
Links associated with this release: PRINCETON, N.J.-- - The Navy women's track and field team is tied for 14th out of 33 schools at the ECAC Track & Field Championship at Princeton, N.J. The Mids are tied with UMBC, Princeton and Seton Hall with 10 points apiece. Yale is winning the meet with 26 points, while Virginia is in second with 23 points. Army is in 31st place with three points. All 10 of Navy's points have come courtesy of Amy Baxter, who won the 3,000 steeplechase last night. In action from late last night and today, Melissa Foon finished 12th in the 5,000 meters with a time of 17:04.27, while Marcia Flack failed to qualify for the finals in the 400 meter intermediate hurdles, finishing 16th in the trials with a time of 1:01.83. The 4x400 meter relay team also failed to qualify for the finals, placing 15th in a time of 3:48.88. Action will continue tomorrow with finals in 14 events.
