CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - The Navy women's track and field squad recorded 20 Mids to the 2014 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, announced by the league office Wednesday.
To be eligible for the Spring Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average during the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's winter or spring championship sports.
Six Navy track and field members tallied a perfect 4.0 GPA for the spring semester, which included rising seniors Sarah Bernhardt (Conshohocken, Pa.), Shannon Cuthbert (Orange Park, Fla.) and Emily Jensen (The Woodlands, Texas), rising junior Margo Darragh (McDonald, Pa.) and rising sophomores Tahler Bandarra (Naperville, Ill.) and Erin Seiffert (Glen Gardner, N.J.).
Along with Bernhardt, Cuthbert, Jensen, rising senior Madeline Zell (Severna Park, Md.) earned academic honor roll status for the third-straight year.
The Navy women's track and field team defeated Army in the indoor Star Meet during the 2012-13 season. Navy also finished fourth at both the Patriot League Indoor and Outdoor Championships
