Women's Track Opens Indoor Season at Home Tuesday

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Navy women's track and field program will open the 2013-14 indoor season with the Navy Lid Lifter on Tuesday at 4:00 PM at the Wesley A. Brown Field House. Navy is scheduled to compete against Bowie State, Delaware State, Johns Hopkins, Lincoln (Pa.), Maryland-Eastern Shore, McDaniel, Morgan State, Mount St. Mary’s, Towson in a double-dual scored meet.
Navy won three events and three ECAC-qualifying performances en route to a 7-0 record at the Navy Lid Lifter last December. The Mids took first place in the 5,000m, high jump and pole vault.
Following the Navy Lid Lifter, the Mids will have over a month off before competing at home on January 9.

Fans may park at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium for $5. Free shuttle buses will run every 10 minutes between Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium and the Wesley A. Brown Field House. The shuttle buses will start running at 3:00 pm on Tuesday and will continue to 8:45 pm. Shuttle schedule and pick up location are subject to change. Please call 1-800-US4-NAVY for more information.
