Two-time defending Patriot League Champion Bucknell (155) was picked to finish first with 14 of the 20 possible first-place votes. Navy (144), having been edged by Bucknell the last two seasons, garnered five first-place votes and finished 11 points behind Bucknell for second.
League newcomer Boston University, right behind Bucknell and Navy, tallied the final first-place vote and was selected to finish third with 130 points. Lehigh, finishing just 14 points behind BU, was picked to finish fourth in the standings with 116 points. Army rounded out the top five with 95 points.
Holy Cross (79), Lafayette (63), Loyola (46), Colgate (42) and American (30) rounded out the group of ten in the preseason poll.
Navy looks to return back to prominence, as the Mids return All-Patriot League Second Team junior Annie-Norah Beveridge (3000m run) and senior Veronica Ffrench (High Jump). The Mids will look for guidance from 23-year veteran head coach Carla Criste.
The Mids, having taken first in the Navy Lid Lifter on Tuesday, will have a month off before its Navy Winter Invitational on Jan. 9.
