The 2014 season will be Kait Kozak's fourth year as a member of the Navy coaching staff.
Kozak served as the head coach at Western New England College for two seasons prior to arriving at Navy in the spring of 2011. She guided the NCAA Division III program located in Springfield, Mass., to a 37-30 record in her two years with the team. Kozak led the Golden Bears to a 27-10 record during her initial 2009 season, a tally that set the school record for the most wins posted in one season. Originally tabbed to place sixth in the Commonwealth Coast Conference at the start of the season, the Golden Bears won the regular season title with a 9-1 record before placing second in the conference tournament. Kozak herself was selected as the conference coach of the year that season.
A native of Huntingdon, Pa., Kozak is a 2006 graduate of Miami (Fla.). The defensive specialist lettered in each of her four years at the school and served as the co-captain of the Hurricanes during her senior season. Kozak also garnered multiple academic all-conference laurels and received an NCAA Post-Graduate Scholarship as a member of the team.
After graduating from Miami with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in sport administration, she served as an assistant coach at Springfield College for two seasons while attaining her Master's of Education Degree in counseling psychology (athletic counseling concentration). After leaving Springfield she spent one year as a student-athlete development intern at Oregon before accepting her most recent position at Western New England College.
