Recent Navy graduate Aubrey Manes will serve as the volunteer assistant coach for the volleyball team this fall. Manes, a member of Navy's Class of 2010, is on temporary assigned duty to the school's physical education department as she awaits the start date for flight school.

Manes earned a trio of letters as a four-year member of the Navy volleyball team. She appeared in 85 matches over her career, including 55 of a possible 59 over her final two seasons. Her best statistical season was the 2008 campaign when she totaled 160 kills (1.78 kps), 135 digs (1.50 dps) and 17 blocks (0.19 bps) over her 90 sets played. In Patriot League matches as a junior, Manes posted 88 kills (1.73 kps) and 61 digs (1.52 dps) while appearing in 40 sets.

A native of Pratt, Kan., Manes graduated from Navy with a bachelor's degree in American politics and law. She was named to Navy's Superintendent's List once, to the Commandant's List in six semesters and accrued an overall grade-point average of 3.07.
