CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Navy's Erin Fortner (Sr., Villa Hills, Ky.) was one of seven volleyball players named to the Patriot League All-Academic Team for the sport this week. It is the third time Fortner has been named to the team in her career.

A First-Team All-Patriot League selection in both 2012 and 2013, Fortner has posted a 3.72 cumulative grade-point average at Navy. She was the lone volleyball player in the Patriot League to receive academic all-district honors from the College Sports Information Directors of America this fall.

On the volleyball court this year, Fortner ranked second in the Patriot League with an average of 3.44 kills per set. That average rose to 3.55 kills per set against league foes. She led Navy in kills in 25 of the team's 29 matches this season, including 15 of the 16 league matches.
