Before Navy:
• Spent two years at the College of William & Mary, where she competed one year with the cross country and track teams
• Placed 24th overall in the Cavalier Open as a rookie with the cross country team
• Ran the mile, 3,000 meters and 5,000 meters with the track team as a sophomore

High School:
• Attended Radnor High School, where she earned four letters in cross country, indoor track and outdoor track
• Earned all-state honors with cross country during her senior year
• Three-time all-league and all-conference selection in cross country
• Four-time all-league and all-conference runner on the track
• Helped the cross country team to a state title in 2006
• Captained all-three of those teams
• Member of the National Honor Society
