Women's Cross Country Places 10th at Lafayette Invitational

EASTON, Pa – With a split squad competing in the Lafayette Invitational, Amanda Mulkey paced Navy to a 10th place finish on Saturday, Oct. 19. Mulkey finished 34th overall with a finishing time of 23:31.85.
“We competed at a high level at the invitationa,” said head coach Karen Boyle. “However, we need to do better to complete our depth on the team to get ready for the Patriot League Championships.”
Mulkey led the Mids by crossing the tape as the 34th runner and was followed by teammate Meghan Harvey (24:04.76) with a 54th place finish. Then senior captain Mary Carter Jordan placed 55th with a time of 24:07.92 to help place Navy to a 10th-place finish.
Patriot League foe American led the 14-team competition with a first-place finish of 55 points, included Julia Sullivan (22:21.46) paced the Eagles with a second-place finish overall. Loyola (Md.)’s Kiera Harrison placed first with a time of 21:44.87.
The Mids have a week off before they prepare for the Patriot League Championships that are hosted by Lafayette in Easton, Pa. on Nov. 2.
