The Navy women's cross country team had 12 student-athletes named to the sport's Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, it was announced by the conference on Wednesday.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the fall semester.
Team captain Brigid Byrne became the third, four-time Academic Honor Roll selection in program history. Byrne, who was previously voted the Patriot League Women's Cross Country Scholar Athlete of the Year, is an English major and posted a 3.63 GPA during the fall semester.
Patriot League champion Annie-Norah Beveridge earned a spot on the Academic Honor Roll for the second consecutive season as the international relations major posted a 3.54 GPA last semester.
Five Mids posted perfect 4.00 grade-point averages during the fall semester, including sophomores Shannon Cuthbert and Emily Jensen and freshmen Margo Darragh, Michelle Nelson and Kathryn Quandt. For Cuthbert and Jensen, it marks the second consecutive year the two earned a spot on the Honor Roll.
Another pair of Mids in senior Aimee Brenner and junior Mary Jordan also became two-time Honor Roll selections. Brenner is a chemistry major that posted a 3.87 GPA last semester and Jordan is an oceanography major and sported a 3.56 GPA.
Freshmen Dale Lescher
(3.67 GPA), Morgan O'Connor
(3.83 GPA) and Kelley Robinson
(3.24 GPA) were also named to the Honor Roll.
Navy's 12 honorees were the second most of any school in the conference.
