Navy Women’s Cross Country Selected to Finish Fourth in Patriot League

In the 2003 Patriot League preseason poll, Navy women’s cross country was selected by coaches and sports information directors to finish fourth in the league this fall. 2003 marks the Mids first season in the Patriot League.
Defending league champion, American University, was picked to finish second, being edged by Army in a close vote. The Black Knights took the top spot as they return two First-Team All-League performers. Bucknell finished third in the poll, while league newcomer Navy earned four first-place votes to finish fourth in the standings.
The Mids begin competition Fri., Sept. 5 at the Virginia Tech Invitational before playing host to the Salty Sea Dog Invitational on Sat., Sept. 13.
