Women's Cross Country Prepares to Compete in the Panorama Farms Invitational

Annie-Norah Beveridge has paced Navy in its first two meets of the season.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Navy women's cross country team travel to Charlottesville, Va. for the Panorama Farms Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 10:30 am. The University of Virginia hosts 12 teams, 11 of which are regionally ranked.

Navy is currently sixth in the Atlantic Region of the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Poll. 

The Mids will be up against top regional teams that includes No. 2 William & Mary, who is ranked No. 14 nationally, along with No. 4 North Carolina, No. 5 Virginia, No. 6 Eastern Kentucky, No. 13 UNC Greensboro and No. 14 Virginia Tech from the Southeast Region. Auburn (No. 10 South Region), California (No. 13 West Region), George Mason, High Point, Liberty, Mississippi (No. 6 South Region) round out the field.

Senior Annie-Norah Beveridge and Brenna MacDannold were named Patriot League M-F Athletic Runner and Rookie of the Week on Monday, Sept. 14. Beveridge has taken home the PL's M-F Athletic Runner of the Week both times she has competed this season. The Ann Arbor, Mich. native surpassed American's Keira Carlstrom (2002-05) for the most in League history.

Following the Panorama Fams Invitational, Navy will head to the Paul Short Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 5, hosted by Lehigh at 11 a.m.
