Navy Women’s Cross Country Set for Paul Short

Freshman Erin Demchko helps led the Mids.

Annapolis, Md. -- Navy women's cross country (3-1) is traveling to Bethlehem, Pa., for the Paul Short Invitational on the campus of Lehigh University. The Mids will run at 10:45 in the Women's Collegiate Invitational Championship 6k Race with 37 other teams.

Navy was off last week after a solid showing at the Big Wave Invitational on Sept. 20, where the Mids finished in a tie for third place in the 11-team field.

Leading the way for Navy are freshmen Emily Castro (Centennial, Colo./Cherry Creek) and Erin Demchko (Nanuet, N.Y./Pearl River). The pair has captured the top-two Navy finishes in each of the three meets this season.
