Women's Cross Country Heads for Paul Short Invitational

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Coming off a tough Panorama Farms Invitational, the Navy women's cross country heads to Lehigh for the Paul Short Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 5. (11:30 am). The invitational has a total of 150 competing teams grouped into four races, Gold, Brown, White and Open.
Navy is currently ranked eighth in the United Stats Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Mid-Atlantic Poll. The Midshipmen have placed first as a team twice this season, once at the Mount St. Mary's Dual and at the Salty Dog Invitational.
Leading the Midshipmen in 2013 has been junior Annie-Norah Beveridge. Beveridge has paced Navy in all three of its meets this season, including two individual titles. The Ann Arbor, Mich. native has paced the Mids in nine consecutive races, dating back to last season's Salty Dog Invitational.
Navy will be competing against some of the nation's top schools on Saturday. Four of the Top-13 teams will be racing, including No. 6 Georgetown to lead the programs.
