Beveridge Named NAAA Athlete of the Week Presented by Rolls-Royce
Sophomore won the Patriot League title last weekend.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - For the second time this season, Navy women's cross country sophomore Annie-Norah Beveridge has been named the NAAA Athlete of the Week Presented by Rolls-Royce. Beveridge helped lead Navy to its second consecutive Patriot League championship last weekend by winning the individual title.
Beveridge lead nearly the entire 6k race and finished with a time of 21:45, nearly :20 ahead of teammate and second-place finisher Brigid Byrne. In winning the individual crown, Beveridge was named the conference's Runner of the Meet and earned a spot on the All-Patriot League first team.
Beveridge, a native of Ann Arbor, Mich., became the third Mid to win the Patriot League individual title, joining Jess Palacio (2011) and Amy Watson (2008).
Navy will next compete on Nov. 9 at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships in University Park, Pa. The top-two finishing teams will earn a spot in the NCAA Championships on Nov. 17.
