ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Navy fans now have several options to stay up-to-date with the latest sports news, as the Naval Academy Athletic Association has announced it has launched pages on both Facebook and Twitter.
Navy's facebook page can be found at: Navy Athletics on Facebook. To join, fans can click on the Navy Athletics Facebook page and on the left side of the page, click on the "join group" link. Selecting the link will give you news, notes and promotions of Navy Athletics right on your Facebook page.
Facebook is a free-access social networking website, where users can join networks organized by city, workplace, school, and region to connect and interact with other people. People can also add friends and send them messages, and update their personal profiles to notify friends about themselves.
The official Navy Athletics Twitter page will be updated throughout the year with breaking news, scores, in-game updates, time changes, announcements and the up-to-the-minute coverage of Naval Academy athletics.

From the Sign Up page, just provide Facebook with your full name, email address, birthday, and desired password. Go to twitter.com, create a username and password. After you sign up, you will need to go the Navy Athletics page (twitter.com/navyathletics) and click "Follow" in the upper left-hand corner of the pages you wish to follow.

*Twitter allows you to pick and customize how you receive your messages. Get alerts via the web, text messages, instant messages, on Facebook, e-mail and RSS feeds.

What does it mean to follow someone on Twitter?
Following someone simply means receiving their Twitter updates. When you follow someone, every time they post a new message, it will appear in your Twitter home page.
