Intercollegiate Sailing won the ICSA Nationals Match Race Championship

Offshore Sailing won the Kennedy Cup (Intercollegiate Sailing's Big Boat National Championship) for the 14th time in school history and first time since 2007.

Women’s Basketball competed in the NCAA Tournament for the second year in a row

Men’s Tennis competed in the NCAA Tournament for the fifth time in six seasons

Women’s Lacrosse competed in the NCAA Tournament for a third-consecutive season

Women’s Lacrosse finished ranked 19th in the country

Lightweight Crew Varsity Four won the IRA Title

Intercollegiate Sailing finished 16th at the Dinghy National Championship

Women's Indoor Track and Field qualified its first athlete to the NCAA Division I Championship and saw its first athlete achieve All-America honors at the Division I level

2011-12 Patriot League Presidents’ Cup Champions (first time in school history)

MIDN 1/C Cody Rome of the cross country and track & field teams won the NAAA Sword for Men, which is presented to that man of the graduating class who is considered by the Association's Athletic Council to have personally excelled in men's athletics during his years of varsity competition.

MIDN 1/C Jess Palacio of the cross country and track & field teams was awarded the Vice Admiral Lawrence Sword for Women, which is presented to that woman of the graduating class who is considered by the Association's Athletic Council to have personally excelled in women's athletics during her years of varsity competition.

Palacio was the Patriot League’s nomination for NCAA Woman Athlete of the Year

MIDN 1/C Andrew Faulk of the gymnastics team won the Thompson Trophy Cup, which is presented to that midshipman, male or female, who has done the most during the year to promote athletics at the Naval Academy.

MIDN 1/C Alex Azor and MIDN 3/C Preston Gainey were drafted in the 10th and 11th round respectively in the Major League Baseball Amateur draft.  Azor was drafted by the Blue Jays and Gainey was drafted by the Brewers.
