A member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), Michaud's 2009 men's lacrosse media guide was selected as the best in the nation, as well as the media guide's cover. She also helped develop the first NCAA statistics manual for men's lacrosse in 2008. She currently serves as a board member for the USILA, the governing body of collegiate men's lacrosse.
In November of 2011, she was presented the Doyle Smith Sports Information/Media Award for her promotion and coverage of the sport of lacrosse.
She previously served as the committee chair for the NCAA Stats Advisory Board.
Prior to Navy, Michaud spent one year as Assistant Director of Athletic Media Relations at the University of Oklahoma in 1997-98.
Michaud, a native of Ames, Iowa, earned her bachelor's degree in exercise and sports sciences from Iowa State University in 1996. She currently resides in Annapolis.
