Eric Ruden is in his 14th year at Navy, where he serves as the Deputy Director of Athletics.

Before Navy, Ruden spent five years as the Sports Information and Marketing Director at Indiana State University from 1991-96. Prior to that position, he spent one year as the Director of Community Relations for the Chicago White Sox and four years as an Assistant Sports Information Director at Indiana University.

Ruden earned his bachelor's degree in Journalism from Indiana University in 1986. He currently resides in Arnold with his wife, Brenda, and their three children - Paige, Taylor and Alec.
