During his time in Annapolis, Strasemeier has served as the Media Relations Director for 11 Army-Navy football games, four NCAA Men's Lacrosse Quarterfinals, the NCAA Women's Lacrosse Final Four, the NCAA Men's Hockey Frozen Four and the Aloha Bowl and the Oahu Bowl. He has also worked multiple NCAA Men's Basketball Tournaments - both the first and second rounds and the regionals. He is also a current member of the NCAA Women's Lacrosse selection committee.
He has been involved with 14 bowl games at Navy, three NCAA Men's Basketball Tournaments, three NCAA women's lacrosse tournaments and three NCAA baseball tournaments. In 2015, quarterback Keenan Reynolds finished fifth in the Heisman Trophy voting and won the Sullivan Award, which is given to the nation's most outstanding amateur athlete.
Strasemeier started at Navy in 1991 as an intern before moving up to Assistant Sports Information Director for four years. In 1996, he became the Sports Information Director, from which he would become of Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Information in 2003 and then his current title in 2007 as Associate Athletic Director for Sports Information.
Strasemeier earned his bachelor's degree in Sports Marketing & Management from Indiana University in 1991. He currently resides in Annapolis with his wife, Kristen.
